CNNC sees bulk production of low and medium solid radwaste
To transform liquid radioactive waste to the solid state has always been viewed as a pivotal step to eliminate the potential threat to nuclear security. Sichuan Environmental Protection and Engineering Co Ltd, a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), accomplished the task of cementing low and medium radioactive liquid waste ahead of schedule on Dec 9.
It achieved the goal of a 100 percent of pass and guaranteed the safe and stable operation of the production line. This is a landmark incident for the development of China’s nuclear environmental protection industry.
It marked CNNC has completely built its capability in dealing with low and medium radioactive liquid waste, and the corporation now enters into a new phase of systematic, large-scale and standardized full-grown production in decommissioning treatment sector.
