HPR1000 delivers first batch assembly of reactor core metering system
The first batch assembly of reactor core metering system of the world’s first HPR1000 project was packaged and transported on May 20.
The successful delivery marked that China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) has become a product supplier of the third-generation nuclear power reactor core metering system in sectors of designing, research and manufacturing. It also helps upgrade China’s R&D and manufacturing level of nuclear power equipment.
The reactor core metering system is applied for real-time measurement of parameters including the core neutron fluence rate, the temperatures of fuel assembly outlet coolant, and the key-point liquid level of pressure vessels. It’s a specialized instrument control system that plays an important role in reactor safety and economic operation.
