Sanmen Unit 2 ready for commercial operations

Unit 2 of Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant, operated by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) ran at full power continuously for 168 hours, on Nov 5, as part of a test to receive approval to commence commercial operations.
At present, the two units of the first phase of Sanmen Nuclear Power Project are operating at full power. Currently, CNNC operates 20 nuclear power units, with installed capacity now 17,966 megawatts.
