Two subordinated companies of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) were honored by the China Grand Awards for Industry, China’s top industrial awards event, on Dec 9. 

China Nuclear Power Engineering Co Ltd of CNNC secured the China Grand Award for Industry, the top category of the awards, and China Isotope & Radiation Corporation of CNNC won the nomination award. 

Approved by the State Council, the China Grand Awards for Industry are considered to be the “Oscars” of China’s industrial sector. The awards include three categories –– the China Grand Award for Industry, the commendation award of the China Grand Awards for Industry, and the nomination award of the awards. 

This is the fifth time that the awards have been granted. On this occasion, 12 companies were honored by the China Grand Award for Industry for 11 projects; 20 companies were honored with the commendation award for 16 projects, and 14 companies were nominated for awards.
