The China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) is actively rolling out a three-step national strategy for nuclear power development, i.e. “thermal reactor-fast reactor-fusion reactor”; realizing the scientific development pattern of “producing a generation of products, developing a generation, researching a generation and reserving a generation”; and blazing a trail for nuclear power development with the domestic market playing a major role while advancing globally.

The China National Nuclear Power Co Ltd (CNNP) was founded by the CNNC as its dominant shareholder, in conjunction with China Three Gorges Corporation, China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company and Aerospace Capital Holdings Co Ltd.

Business scope: R &D, investment, construction, operation and management of nuclear power projects, research on safety technologies for nuclear power operations, and relevant technical services and consulting.
