The China Institute of Atomic Energy of the China National Nuclear Corporation and State Nuclear Security Technology Center were designated as the nuclear security cooperation center of the International Atomic Energy Agency during a signing ceremony held on Sept 10.
CNNC began shipping Chinese-made fuel assemblies for the Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant, the world’s first HPR1000 (Hualong One) nuclear reactor, on Sept 10. The assemblies first had to pass inspection.

The pressurizers of Fuqing Unit 6, a Hualong one (HPR1000) demonstration project, passed inspection on Aug 14, signifying that research and production of all pressurizers for the four Hualong one units, both in China and abroad, have been completed.
