The China National Nuclear Corp met with representatives of the Russian nuclear giant Rosatom, on July 6, to discuss cooperation on nuclear power projects, with China’s Vice-Premier, Wang Yang, and Russia's deputy prime minister, Dmitry Rogozin, presiding, in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.

Nuclear power has played an important role in cooperation between the two countries and is a key area for developing a strategic partnership and leaders from the two countries are pushing greater communication in all parts of the industry and have agreed on further cooperation.

At the gathering, Rogozin encouraged business personnel from both nations to exchange ideas and cooperate during the four-day event, on July 8.
