Sun Qin, chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), met with He Yu, Chairmen of China General Nuclear Group (CGN) in Beijing, on Dec 30, 2015. On the meeting, they signed an agreement to jointly establish Hualong International Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, marking an achievement of the two companies’ efforts on promoting further cooperation in innovation since the signing of the agreement on technology integration of HPR1000 on August 22, 2014.

The new company is expected to implement the national nuclear power development strategy through continued integration and development of HPR1000 independent nuclear power technology and implementing on the operation of relative of technology, brands and intellectual property rights both in China and overseas to make HPR1000 a main brand name of China’s nuclear power “going global”.
