Occupational health management services in the nuclear industry
Five hospitals under the China Nuclear Holding Corporation support the occupational health management services of the nuclear industry as below:
Qualified for full range of vocational health examinations and vocational disease diagnoses identified by provincial health administrations
Vocational health monitoring and evaluation for radiation workers in all the domestic nuclear power plants
Health examination and vocational health monitoring before, during and after employment as well as position suitability evaluation for operators and radiation workers in nuclear power plants
Independent development of psychological test systems for operators in Chinese nuclear power plants
Camping services for nuclear power contractors
Camping solutions that cover business management, logistic assurance and value-added services are provided to satisfy catering, accommodation, traveling and trading requested by service contractors during construction and operation of nuclear power stations. Such camping services are currently provided at nuclear power stations in Hongyanhe, in Wafangdian city, northeast China’s Liaoning province and Yangjiang city in south China’s Guangdong province.
Radiological medical aid and treatment
Diagnosis and treatment of radiological diseases are available.
Five nuclear industry hospitals have persistently carried out the diagnosis and treatment of 121 cases of radiological diseases, and established nearly 30,000 health records for radiation workers.
Medical training and exercising associated with nuclear accidents
The General Nuclear-industry Hospital has carried out training in medical clinical emergency treatment of nuclear and radiological injuries as many as 13 times for thousands of medical specialists and assisted in holding a Sino-US medical emergency training course.
Rescue ability in case of nuclear emergencies is available.
A national support center for medical rescue in nuclear emergency and a rescue team have been established to provide medical rescue capability at a nuclear accident site. Medical rescue nuclear emergency exercises have been performed successfully in regions such as Sichuan and Shanxi provinces.
