Deputy to the National People’s Congress, board chairman and Party secretary of China National Nuclear Co (CNNC), Sun Qin gave interviews covering CNNC’s development in the coming years to Xinhua and People’s Daily at the "Two Sessions".

Sun elaborated on CNNC’s nuclear power industrial development, the HPR1000 integration and construction situation, the overseas layout of the company, business brought by the National Belt and Road Initiative, nuclear technology applications and the company’s 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20). 

2016 marks the start of the nation’s 13th Five-Year Plan and the targeted beginning of its transition from a big to a strong nuclear power. As CNNC shoulders the important mission of promoting the country’snuclear industry development, it is receiving wide public attention at the “Two Sessions”.
