Recently, the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) completed the thesis—“the analytical experiment of the hydrogen behavior inside the simulated reactor container” in the Nuclear Power Institute of China (NPIC).

It is the sub-thesis of “the technological study of hydrogen online monitoring and high-efficient hydrogen elimination under a situation of severe accidents”, one major special project proposed by the National Energy Administration.

Attached to the CNNC, the NPIC has been recognized as the first domestic scientific institute, with the ability of analyzing and testing the hydrogen behaviors under a situation of severe accidents inside a large simulated reactor container, which ranks advanced level across China.
