On Dec 15, Qian Zhimin, president of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), met with Bruno Barretto—CEO of Brazil’s Centrais Electricas Brasileiras S.A. (shortly for Eletrobras), during which they exchanged views on the Sino-Brazil nuclear power collaborations and achieved crucial consensus finally.

After the meeting, officials from both sides signed the memorandum of understanding for further cooperation on nuclear power.

During the visit, CEO Barretto also traveled around China Nuclear Power Engineering Company attached to the CNNC, the Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant, and other CNNC’s subsidiaries, in-depth researching the layout, manufacturing, and operation of the CNNC’s nuclear power.
