With pressure falling to constant, CNNC’s Tianwan Unit 3 completed a test on the sealing and intension of its containment vessel during the debugging period on Feb 25.

The test was a one-time success, finishing around 12 hours earlier than expected schedule. The test duration broke the record for the shortest testing cycle among national tests on sealing and intension of containment vessels while debugging.

The completion of the test has built a solid foundation for loading nuclear fuels into assemblies.
