China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) was honored as the official partner of the China Pavilion at the 2017 Astana Exposition during an awards ceremony held in Beijing on April 28.

The ceremony took place in the presence of delegates from China Pavilion and officials from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

The 2017 Astana Exposition, with a theme of "Future Energy", will be held in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan from June 10 to Sept 10. 

CNNC plans to showcase the independently-developed HPR 1000, China's third-generation nuclear technology, alongside the export strengths of its whole industrial chain.

In recent years, CNNC has built a firm partnership with Kazakhstan Atomic Energy Company in sectors including the trade of natural uranium, the exploration and research of uranium resources, and in the production and sale of nuclear fuel.
