The first batch of fuel components of Unit 4 of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant, run by China National Nuclear Corporation, was stably placed in the designated position of the reactor core at 19:15 on Aug 25.

It marked the beginning of fuel loading at Tianwan Unit 4, entering the operation phase with nuclear fuel.

The Phase II of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant is a key project for China and Russia to continue deepening cooperation in energy sector. Unit 3 of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant entered commercial operation on Feb 15 and now has safely generated more than 4.8 billion kWh.

Tianwan Unit 4 accomplished the first fuel loading, marking a crucial step for the completion of The Phase II of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant.
