Ten experts from China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) were invited to offer counseling services to international students at Tsinghua University in Beijing on April 24 as part of a joint training program between CNNC and Tsinghua University.
With support from the Ministry of Education and the National Energy Administration, CNNC signed a deal with Tsinghua University on a joint training program, aiming to help train international students from countries along the Belt and Road by giving them the chance to enroll in a nuclear engineering master’s program.
The program is meant to help students learn more about China’s nuclear technology and engineering management techniques by giving them a chance to study in China for two or three years.
The 10 students at the meeting come from countries such as Ghana, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Tunisia.
During the meeting, Tsinghua University awarded letters of appointment to the supervisors from CNNC.
CNNC and Tsinghua University have been partners for more than 20 years. In 2018, they signed another deal to strengthen cooperation in nuclear research and industrial development.
