CNNC president attends session of China-Russia Regular Prime Ministers’ Meeting
CNNC President Gu Jun attended the 23rd session of the sub-committee on nuclear issues of the China-Russia Regular Prime Ministers’ Meeting in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, on July 19.
The meeting was co-chaired by Zhang Kejian, director of the China Atomic Energy Authority, and Alexey Likhachev, director general of ROSATOM.
During the meeting, the Chinese and Russia sides both praised the achievements of their cooperation and specifically noted units 7 and 8 of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant and units 3 and 4 of the Xudapu Nuclear Power Plant.
The two sides made plans for future cooperation and agreed to deepen their partnership.
Nuclear cooperation is a significant part of China-Russia partnership and has attracted attention from leaders of both countries.
The meeting functioned as a prelude to the upcoming 24th China-Russia Regular Prime Ministers’ Meeting.
