The China National Nuclear Corporation -- also known as CNNC -- is participating in the second China International Import Expo, which opened in Shanghai on Nov 5 and will run to Nov 10.

CNNC Chairman Yu Jianfeng and Vice-General Manager Yang Changli attended the opening ceremony at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). 

Playing a pivotal role in China's nuclear industry, CNNC says it is broadening its opening up and deepening partnerships with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Executives said that during the event, the company will hammer out agreements with Russian and French companies in the nuclear energy sector.

It will also host a forum, showcasing its achievements in international cooperation and providing a platform for discussing the internationalization of China's nuclear industry.

Li Qingtang, vice-general manager of CNNC, and other officials Zhuang Huolin and Huang Mingang, attended sub-forums of the Hongqiao International Economic Forum.
