Liu Renpeng: story of dedication and innovation
The digital standard maintenance platform -- independently developed and launched by Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant in 2015 -- was recognized to be the first of its kind in China and a first-class innovation in the world in the 2018 China National Nuclear Corporation Scientific and Technological Achievement Appraisal.
Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant is founded by China National Nuclear Corporation, or CNNC.
After two years of design and development, it has become a complete set of push-type operations and maintenance information preparation platforms that meet the standardized requirements of Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant -- and has continuously provided better knowledge and process management services for the company.
It has provided convenient and efficient technical support for Hualong One (HPR 1000) project, a domestically developed third-generation nuclear reactor.
As one of the main engineers of the project, Liu Renpeng has dedicated nearly 10 years of his life to maintenance work in the company.
He joined Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant in 2009 and has been working in the field of instrument control technology since then.
He has participated in the entire process of production preparation, commissioning, handovers and daily maintenance -- and become undoubtedly an outstanding professional in the instrumentation and maintenance team.
As the main force behind the technology team, Liu started many things from scratch and solved a series of problems in the field of production preparations.
In 2018, Liu joined the maintenance preparation work of the HPR 1000 project. He applied his past experience in instrument control maintenance preparations to the project -- and successfully avoided the risks that occurred during the construction of units 5 and 6.
The engineer promoted the tests and improvements of the first domestic nuclear-grade ferrule, organized multiple on-site special forums and was involved early in the DCS installation plan, significantly improving the daily work of the company.
In order to maximize the integration of the operation and the maintenance knowledge, avoid the loss of resources caused by staff movement and make full use of internet to optimize maintenance management, Liu Renpeng has poured his heart into the development of the digital standard maintenance platform.
There are currently more than 800 daily users of Units 1 to 6 of the platform, with an average daily use of nearly 100 people. It gathers more than 30,000 pieces of equipment data, 2,000 pieces of experience feedback and risk analysis, 50,000 pieces of equipment photos, as well as over 5,000 pieces of examination records.
"Although the Hualong One (HPR 1000) maintenance preparation team was established less than one year ago, we are a team standing on the shoulders of giants," Liu Renpeng said, full of confidence in the future construction of the project.
