China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) is a centrally managed state-owned enterprise approved by the State Council, and serves as a key player in the national nuclear science and technology industry. 

It is responsible for promoting the development and utilization of nuclear energy, nuclear engineering construction, and the application of nuclear technology.

As of the end of 2023, CNNC's total assets reached approximately 1.3 trillion yuan, with about 180,000 employees. It boasts 14 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

For 18 consecutive years, it has received an "A" rating in the performance assessment by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), and for four consecutive years, it has achieved an "A" rating in the Party building responsibility system assessment of central enterprises.

The board of directors has received excellent evaluations from SASAC for three consecutive years, and it ranked second in the assessment of the “Three-year Action Plan for State-owned Enterprise Reform”.

For five consecutive years, it has been rated as "excellent" in the assessment of targeted assistance work among central units. For four consecutive years, it has been the only comprehensive nuclear industry enterprise among the Fortune Global 500.
