On July 22, the inauguration ceremony of China Fusion Energy Co. Ltd took place in Shanghai. Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng attended the event and jointly unveiled the company with Shen Yanfeng, Chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC). This subsidiary of CNNC serves as a pivotal force in propelling China's fusion engineering and commercialization efforts. The company's strategic tasks include system design, technology validation, and digital R&D, alongside the establishment of platforms for technological research and capital operations.
At the event, China Fusion Energy signed a cooperation agreement for a fusion innovation consortium with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and other local institutions. The company also signed a capital increase and share expansion agreement with its shareholders, including the National Green Development Fund Co., Ltd..
