On November 6, the "Open Innovation·Nuclear Power for Win-Win: Digital Empowerment for Global Nuclear Supply Chain Resilience" event and signing ceremony, hosted by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), was held in Shanghai during the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE).

The themed salon featured discussions on "AI Applications and Cybersecurity in the Nuclear Industry" and shared insights into "Digital Transformation in China's Nuclear Power" and the "R&D and Construction of the ACP100 Linglong One Multi-purpose Small Modular Reactor."
At the event, CNNC and its subsidiaries, including China Nuclear Energy Industry Co., Ltd., China National Uranium Co., Ltd., CNNC Areva Shanghai Tubing Co., Ltd., and CNNP Operation Maintenance Technology Co., Ltd., signed eight procurement contracts with international partners such as Framatome from France, Westinghouse Electric Company LLC from US, Orano Group from France, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company from Uzbekistan, and Emerson Process Management from France. The contracts encompass projects involving nuclear fuel assembly components, TREX tube billets, and natural uranium, thereby enhancing global cooperation and innovation in the nuclear sector.

Digitalization is a key factor in reshaping the competitiveness of the global nuclear supply chain. CNNC will work with global partners in three areas: Firstly, build a digital innovation ecosystem to enable cross-border collaboration in R&D and the conversion of results, tackling key technologies in smart O&M technologies. Secondly, enhance supply chain resilience to optimize global coordination of nuclear fuel and core equipment through digital tools, thereby improving the risk resilience of the industrial chain. Thirdly, share development opportunities by leveraging China's vast nuclear market to provide platforms for technology application and project collaboration, fostering a mutually beneficial and win-win industrial ecosystem.
