The Second Nuclear Technology Application Industrial Chain Co-Chain Action Conference was held in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Nov 27.

The event released China's first Nuclear Technology Applications Industrial Chain Consolidation Action Plan, China National Nuclear Corporation's integrated nuclear medical solutions and other outcomes, marking the entry of China's nuclear technology application industry into a new stage where systematic chain-building promotes high-quality growth.

Under the theme "Co-Chain in Nuclear Power, Shaping a Smart Future", the conference was hosted by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and the China Isotope & Radiation Association. It aimed to create a new pattern of high-quality development in nuclear technology applications and build a closer and stronger industrial ecosystem.
As the backbone of China's nuclear technology application industry, CNNC emphasized its commitment to working with partners to advance the co-chain initiative at the conference.
The company outlined plans to jointly foster innovation chains, optimize industrial chains, expand the ecosystem and consolidate intellectual resources, thereby accelerating the establishment of a full-chain innovation system from fundamental research to industrial applications.
CNNC pledges to promote deeper integration of nuclear technology with emerging industries and contribute to national strategic objectives, regional development and the modernization of China's industrial system.
Nuclear technology is a key component of modern science and technology and its related industries are characterized by high-tech, high-efficiency and high-quality features, representing a new form of new quality productive forces. At present, China's nuclear technology application industry has established a well-structured, multi-level and multi-chain collaborative development pattern. Several key sub-sectors have achieved scalable and industrialized growth, creating a trend of "mature chains leading and emerging areas incubating".
The newly released Nuclear Technology Applications Industrial Chain Consolidation Action Plan is China's first systematic industrial chain enhancement initiative, launched by an industry association, led by a central State-owned enterprise and involving multiple stakeholders.
The plan seeks to reinforce the security of China's nuclear technology application industry, reduce dependency on foreign technology in certain segments and guarantee a safe, independent and manageable industrial chain.
This technology stimulates market vitality and secures the industrial chain while nurturing a novel industrial ecosystem. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders across industry, academia, research, applications and finance, it will integrate resources, foster cross-sector interaction and ensure that sub-chains are supported, responsibilities coordinated and implementation assured.

In critical areas, the Industrial Chain Consolidation Action Plan will assist participating entities in reinforcing weak links, providing valuable experience for the construction of China's modern industrial system.
This initiative reflects CNNC's practical interpretation of China's institutional advantage in mobilizing concentrated efforts for major undertakings and exemplifies how the industry can innovate to serve national strategic objectives.
