On December 4, Shen Yanfeng, chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), attended the 7th Meeting of the China-France Business Council in Beijing and spoke on "China-France Win-Win Cooperation: New Paradigms for Green and Low-Carbon Development". During the meeting, CNNC signed nuclear energy cooperation agreements with Framatome and EDF.

As a member of the China-France Business Council and the head of the low-carbon energy group on the Chinese side, CNNC joined over 150 representatives from both governments and business sectors of the two countries. Discussions focused on three themes: new paradigms for green and low-carbon cooperative development, new trends in industrial transformation and consumption change, and opportunities for cross-border investment in innovation.

Chairman Shen outlined three proposals for advancing China-France nuclear energy cooperation:
Promoting collaborative innovation to jointly foster new quality productive forces and inject fresh momentum into the global nuclear industry;
Strengthening mutual trust and cooperation to build a win-win model and advance nuclear technology development that supports both countries' economic and social progress;
Deepening cooperation to shape a new model of global nuclear energy collaboration, including joint efforts across nuclear energy supply chains, innovation chains, and talent development to lead the high-quality global nuclear development.
Shen also shared CNNC's practical experience in non-electric applications of nuclear energy, such as nuclear heating and steam supply.
