At the ITER construction site in southern France, the team of China Nuclear Industry 23 Construction Co Ltd (CNI 23), a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), has set a benchmark in international nuclear engineering through its efficiency, precision, and safety performance.

On December 11, at the annual ITER Awards ceremony, the CNPE consortium was awarded the Director-General's Award by ITER Director-General Dr. Pietro Barabaschi in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the ITER main equipment installation works. As a core member and leading construction force of the consortium, CNNC CNI 23 played a pivotal role, earning widespread recognition from international peers for its professional excellence and dedication.

On April 10, the team successfully completed the precise lifting and positioning of the first vacuum vessel module (Module 7), a major milestone praised by Dr. Barabaschi as reflecting "exceptional professionalism, extraordinary courage, and selfless dedication". Building on this success, the project team accurately hoisted modules 6 and 5 into place on June 18 and November 25, respectively. These achievements not only demonstrated the maturity of its key installation technologies but also advanced the ITER project’s critical path milestones by six weeks ahead of the baseline schedule.
