Romania and USA agree to nuclear cooperation
The USA and Romania have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on civil nuclear energy. The agreement was signed by US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry and Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă on 24 September during the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York.

Foratom urges fact-based approach to sustainable finance

Foundation stone laid for Finnish encapsulation plant
Finnish waste management company Posiva has laid the foundation stone for the start of construction of the used fuel encapsulation plant at the Olkiluoto site in western Finland. Construction of the plant is scheduled for completion in summer 2022.
