Alloy clear for use in high-temperature reactors

Alloy 617 - a combination of nickel, chromium, cobalt and molybdenum - has been approved by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for inclusion in its Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Fuel for initial load of Ostrovets-1 arrives on site

The first batch of fuel for the nuclear power plant under construction in Belarus has been delivered to the construction site in Ostrovets, Russia's Rosatom announced today. The fuel assemblies are currently being prepared for unloading and inspection.
