The NicSys 8000N, a platform of the safety-level Digital Control System (DCS) developed by the China Nuclear Control Systems Engineering Company, subsidiary of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), passed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)’s Independent Engineering Review of I&C Systems (IERICS) recently.

With absolute independent intellectual property rights, the NicSys 8000N turned into China’s first nuclear power safety-level DCS platform, based upon the FPGA technology, which was recognized by international authoritative agencies.

This case indicates that the technology and product of CNNC’s safety-level control system have reached the international advanced level, and will drive the development of China’s nuclear power technologies alongside the “expanding global” of nuclear power.
