CNNC sets new records for power generation
China National Nuclear Power Co Ltd (CNNP), a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), recently announced its performance report for 2017.
The units of Qinshan Phase I, and units 1, 2 and 3 of Qinshan Phase II received the WANO composite index of 100, ranking first in the world.
It is claimed that annual generating capacity has exceeded 100 billion kilowatts hours for the first time, with a year-on-year increase of 15.7 percent, setting a new record for generating electricity from nuclear fuel.
In 2017, CNNP completed 10 safe and high-quality overhauls, 47.9 days ahead of schedule, adding power generating capacity of 1.1 billion kWh.
