Mongolian energy minister visits CNNC subsidiary
Mongolian Energy Minister Tserenpil Davaasuren visited China Nuclear Engineering and Construction Corporation Limited (CNEC Corporation), a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), on April 26 to discuss specifics on the construction of the Baganuur power station, which was funded and built by the company.
The Baganuur power station is the largest power station in Mongolia and symbolizes the country’s pragmatic cooperation with China.
During the meeting, the minister expressed thanks to CNEC Corporation for its efforts to accelerate construction on the power station, saying that he hoped the project would become an iconic project of the Belt and Road Initiative.
CNEC Corporation pledged to deepen cooperation with Mongolia in trade, power, and infrastructure construction.
Xu Xiaoming, general manager of CNEC Corporation, along with other representatives from CNNC, attended the meeting.
