CNNC supports rural education in Shaanxi

China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) organized a volunteer activity at Qili Wanquan Elementary School in Ankang, Shaanxi province from June 18 to 20 to bring modern educational concepts and resources to children in poor areas.
The students were intrigued by a number of special classes offered by volunteer teachers on handicrafts, science, painting, and more.
A library donated by CNNC has also been put to good use by the school, and CNNC is expected to build 100 free libraries throughout poor areas in the near future.
CNNC carried out the Seedling Plan to bolster rural education. The plan, initiated by CNNC and a number of local organizations and enterprises, aims to improve local basic education introducing products for poverty alleviation, educational funds, volunteer teaching, and free libraries.
