Eight CNNC units honored for their excellent performance
2020-01-15 Eight nuclear power units of China National Nuclear Corporation, also known as CNNC, got full marks in the WANO comprehensive index, according to the World Association of Nuclear Operators.
The eight are units 1 and 4 at the Qinshan No 2 nuclear power plant, unit 1 at the Qinshan No 3 nuclear power plant, units 1 and 2 at the Fangjiashan nuclear power plant, units 1 and 2 at the Tianwan nuclear power plant and unit 1 at the Fuqing nuclear power plant.
China National Nuclear Power Co Ltd, a company of CNNC, also won the nuclear energy excellent performance award conferred by WANO, recognizing the company’s contributions to the nuclear energy sector.
It was the second time that the company received the award, the first time being in 2011.
Data showed that CNNC's nuclear power generation last year reached 136.21 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 15.6 percent compared with 2018.
