CNNC introduced Chinese solutions on the IAEA General Conference
During the 67th General Conference held by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yu Jianfeng, the chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), attended the closing ceremony of the forum with the theme, "Nuclear Innovation Promotes Zero Emissions" and discussed with counterparts from various countries about nuclear energy innovation and how to address the challenges of climate change.
He emphasized that to achieve global high-quality development of nuclear energy, it is necessary to unite the strength of international community, creating a positive environment for the high-quality development of nuclear energy. He also mentioned China's great plan of nuclear power construction and invited global peers to participate in it.
On Sept 25th, Liu Jing, the head of the Chinese delegation and the vice-chairman of China Atomic Energy Authority, along with Li Song, the permanent representative and ambassador plenipotentiary and extraordinary of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna, visited the Chinese exhibition booth. They had a detailed understanding of the uses of nuclear energy in China, the high temperature gas cooled reactor, and the Linglong One.
During the conference, Yu Jianfeng unveiled the plaque for the European representative office of CNNC. He also held meetings with officials of nuclear energy sectors in many countries such as Uzbekistan, South Africa, Jordan and Bulgaria.
